DIY home decor! Bohemian Style! :)

Hello Readers!!

I did this quick little bohemian wall decor for my place and I absolutely loved this. This made my living room look colorful and eclectic without trying too hard!

You just need two things and they are under $5.

1) A stick, a hanger or just a thin tube.

I bought these from Walmart. You can even pick up a stick from your garden and make it work. It can be anything, any color but not very heavy.

2) Colorful threads

This is where you can be creative. Pick any color. Any pattern. You want to make it multicolored? That’s even better! I chose to play around with green, blue and indigo.

3) Embellishments

This is completely optional. Embellish your beautiful piece with any old or unused dainty jewelry to give it a bohemian-chic look. I used a chain that I never use to deck up mine.

Yess! It’s that easy-peasy!

It took me just 30 mins to do this.

How to do?

1) Cut out your thread like below in bunches with each side a little more than your elbow to finger tip lengths. It need not be equal and perfect. You can trim the tips after you are done. Lengths of the thread are completely your choice depending on what size you want.

2) This is the hanger that I used. You can buy from anywhere. It is so easily available. Check the pictures to see how I knotted the thread over the hanger.

Place the threads like below

Pull the rest of the thread into the loop

Tighten them and pull to the corner!

The thickness of the bunch of threads is completely your choice. My corners are thin and the center ones are thicker. Totally your choice of liking.

Continue this till you reach the other corner and you are done. I had loop holes in the corners of my hanger stick for tying the hanging thread. Trim the ends to whatever shape you like.

Add your embellishments and ta-da!!!

I enjoyed making this and loved how it complimented my space. You can add more embellishments, make patterns like how you braid your hair and many more creative things!
